Transform Your Kitchen Space

Hello, my name is Katy and this blog is dedicated to how you can improve the interior of your home. Last year, I renovated my kitchen and it completely changed my life. Although I am really happy with the results, I didn't expect it to be so challenging. I kind of jumped in at the deep end, ripped my old kitchen out and then realised I had no idea how to install a new one or even what design I would like to choose. Thankfully, my friend who is a bit of an expert at these things guided me through the entire process and I learnt a lot of useful things. Since then, I have started to rennovate the rest of my home and garden.

The Advantages Of Fibreglass Pools Over Concrete Ones

Are you looking to have a pool installed, but can't decide between a fibreglass and concrete one? Both pools come with their advantages and disadvantages. The option you end up choosing should depend on your specific requirements. To make an informed decision regarding which type of pool is the best option for you, here are some of the advantages that fibreglass pools have over concrete ones.

Small Amount Of Maintenance

Maintaining a pool is one of the biggest things to think about when getting a pool installed. That's because some pool types require a lot of maintenance, and it can become a bit annoying if you don't have the time. A fibreglass pool has a non-porous coating that's leak proof, and they don't get damaged very easily. On the other hand, concrete pools tend to get cracks after years of use which can result in costly repairs. Also a special gel can be applied to the coating of fibreglass pools to prevent the buildup of algae and growth of mould.

Faster Installation

Fibreglass pools, for the most part, are much faster to install than concrete ones. Some pools can be installed in as few as 3 days turnaround time. The average concrete pool, on the other hand, can take up to 2 weeks to finish. Therefore, when it comes to installation costs the fibreglass option is a lot cheaper than the concrete one. Also the use of heavy equipment is required to install concrete pools, which can cause a big mess. Finally, if you wanted to remove the pool or upgrade it in any way then doing so with a fibreglass one is not only easier, but also cheaper.

Flexibility In Design

When picking out the size, depth, style and colour of the pool the fibreglass option provides a much higher degree of flexibility. Therefore, if you are after something specific or have a very unique area of land to work with, then the fibreglass option could be the better choice. For example, fibrerlass pools can be moulded to fit the exact specifications more easily than concrete based ones.

Feel On The Feet

The fibreglass feels much better for the feet than concrete. It's a touch-friendly, non-abrasive surface that is pleasant to walk about on. Concrete, on the other hand, can be rough on the feet and cause injury more easily. Therefore, if you have children then the fibreglass option might be the safer choice.
